IPC E-Textiles Committee Launches COVID-19 Response Community – Open to All to Engage

The IPC D-70 E-Textiles Committee has launched the IPC D-70 E-Textiles Committee COVID-19 Response Community. Read below for full details about this new community.

Our first weekly Zoom meeting is open to all, including those from the general textiles industry. IPC has also created a page using our IPC Works online collaboration website for anyone from the e-textiles and textiles communities to engage, learn and share information. There is no cost to participate in our weekly calls or to join our IPC Works group.

ÐãÉ«Ö±²¥ the IPC D-70 E-Textiles Committee COVID-19 Response Community

The IPC D-70 E-Textiles Committee COVID-19 Response Community enables the e-textiles community to come together to help one another to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The overall objectives of the IPC D-70 COVID-19 Response Community include:

• Galvanize resources of members to respond to urgent needs due to the COVID-19 crisis, particularly the need for personal protection equipment (PPE) for healthcare workers and first responders.
• Provide an opportunity to keep in touch with other committee members and maintain continuity as we respond to the pandemic.
• Support and share networks, so people can connect with others to find necessary resources.
• Create a hub for sharing regulatory guidelines for PPE, resource materials (e.g., nonwoven filter), finding factories and available equipment, paying workers now or reimbursing later, among other topics.

ÐãÉ«Ö±²¥ Community Zoom Meetings

IPC will provide weekly Zoom meetings during this crisis to allow the e-textiles community to engage about these issues. Meetings will be announced on the IPC Works D-70 E-Textiles Committee COVID-19 Response Community but will be open to anyone to attend.

IPC Works is an online committee website for IPC working groups to collaborate on standards and other topics. IPC has created a separate page on IPC Works for this new community to connect and engage on this important topic.

Members of this community can post news feeds, comment on news feeds, ask questions, provide links to resources or share needs you or your company have regarding COVID-19 for others in this community to learn, share and collaborate.
