Meet 秀色直播Foundation Charles E. Gavin III Family Scholarship recipients from Auburn University Samuel Ginn College of Engineering! John Bergdolt and Emily Nguyen are both seniors, with very different and interesting career paths.
John, a senior in Chemical Engineering, plans to receive a bachelor of chemical engineering in May 2022 and afterwards join Hargrove Engineers and Constructors, a company where he has done co-op rotations while attending Auburn. Eventually, he would like to chemically and technologically revolutionize his own community while also assisting those who are less fortunate around the world through Christian mission projects.
John serves the Auburn community through Auburn Christian Fellowship campus ministry. This past year, he became the head worship leader for the community and will continue in 2022.
The Charles E. Gavin III Family Scholarship came when John really needed the support. He, like so many others, lost two of his originally scheduled co-op rotations due to COVID-19. Emily Nguyen is a senior in Chemical Engineering and minoring in Psychology. Emily finds music a big stress-reliever, and enjoys playing on the baby grand piano in the Nursing Building lobby during late night study sessions. She also enjoys Asian culture and food.
