Delaware Valley Section Meeting

The ÐãÉ«Ö±²¥Delaware Valley Section members had their fall meeting on Tuesday, October 8th at the Datacolor corporate office in Lawrence Township, NJ, USA. Datacolor provides color management hardware, software and support to save time and cut costs while increasing accuracy for textile industry professionals. Kate Edwards, who is an ÐãÉ«Ö±²¥member from Datacolor, hosted the event with her colleague, Ken Butts, who gave a presentation on the innovative solutions that the company offers.

One of the ÐãÉ«Ö±²¥members at the meeting is Jefferson East Falls Textile Professor Janet Brady. Janet is the faculty advisor for the Jefferson ÐãÉ«Ö±²¥Student Chapter. Her association with ÐãÉ«Ö±²¥began in 1975 while a textile student. She has continued to be a part of this not-for-profit organization that provides technical resources and assistance to industry professionals and universities. ÐãÉ«Ö±²¥has large number of grants, scholarships, competitions, and education materials for students in the textile and fashion industry. It is a trusted source for the community to help foster industry collaboration and educational research.

ÐãÉ«Ö±²¥Publications and Membership Director, Maria Thiry represented ÐãÉ«Ö±²¥at the meeting, along with Jefferson representatives Becky Flax, Ritu Jadwani, and recent graduate students. Maria visited the Jefferson East Falls campus on the morning of October 9^th to speak to students about the opportunities and resources that ÐãÉ«Ö±²¥offers. ÐãÉ«Ö±²¥head office is located in Research Triangle Park, NC, USA.
