ÐãÉ«Ö±²¥

The ÐãÉ«Ö±²¥Foundation Metro Scholarship supports undergraduate students studying textiles at a northeastern US college or university. As of 2023, the ÐãÉ«Ö±²¥Foundation is offering two scholarships for the Metro Scholarship.* Both scholarships are valued at $4,000 in scholarship funds.

Eligibility

• • • Undergraduate students
    • Textile field
  • Attending any college or university in the following states:
    • • Connecticut
      • Maine
      • Massachusetts
      • New Hampshire
      • New Jersey
      • New York
      • Rhode Island
      • Vermont
    • US citizen
    • Recipients may reapply for a second year of scholarship support.

Selection Criteria

• • • Demonstrated scholastic progress towards the intended degree
    • Financial need
    • Demonstrated work experience and history

Applications will close February 28, 2026. Applicants will be notified by early summer.

Applications must include:

• • • Resume or Letter of Work Experience (including internships).
    • Personal statement, freely expressing your feelings, aspirations, financial need and concerns, with particular emphasis on your intended career following graduation.
    • Copy of your most recent transcript.

*In previous years, the ÐãÉ«Ö±²¥Foundation Metro Scholarship was offered to undergraduate students at a college or university in New England, New York or New Jersey with an ÐãÉ«Ö±²¥student chapter (Buffalo State, Cornell University, Fashion Institute of Technology, University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth, University of Rhode Island.) As of 2023, the ÐãÉ«Ö±²¥Foundation Metro Scholarship has been expanded to undergraduate students at any college or university in New England, New York, or New Jersey. Additionally, in previous years, the Metro Scholarship recipient(s) received up to $3,000 in scholarship funds (minimum $1,000) depending on how many scholarships were awarded. As of 2024, the Metro Scholarship now offers two awards, both valued at $3,000.
